Cathedral City Website Refresh

THE TASK

To give an aged Cathedral City website a good lick of paint, removing the flash, and to make a fresh modern, accessible site to promote the nations favourite cheese.

THE IDEA

Cheddar gardens. In an old English town somewhere in the heart of our fine country, there's a place that oozes personality. I brought the imaginary street to life by spending a couple of days in some of the oldest viallages in and around London. The scene was then precomposed together, and an element of humour was added to some of the shops. The fun was in the little details (The Mellow Yellow fashion store or the Melt & Crumble cafe for example).

After the scene was created, we picked a particularly 'yellow time of day', and landed it in the early morning hours. The rest of the site housed product details as well as a bunch of 'cheesey' recipes. The site was very well received by the client, and even got a behind the scenes featurette in .Net magazine.
