Mix Mates

THE TASK

To support the Sony Ericsson sponsorship of the 'In the Mix' awards with Facebook activity that played into the 24/7 culture of the audience.

THE IDEA

Mix Mates. Facebooks most social music quiz. Visitors to the app were tasked with creating crews, answering questions and building up points and all in the name of winning 4 VIP tickets to Stereosonic for them and their mates.

By picking their most music-savy mates, users would increase their chances of bagging the points. Questions were dropped any time night or day, and the faster people answered, the more points they bagged. People could also get rid of team mates that were underperforming, booting them from their crew.

THE RESULTS

- 50% increase to the Facebook fanbase
- 74% increase in daily interactions with the brand
- 4 very happy people at Stereosonic
