THE TASK

To produce a digital campaign for a Spotify promotion on new Sony Ericsson handsets.

THE IDEA

The microsite became the hub of the cmpaign, and all elements were directed to it. We didn't just want to shout about the free Spotify on Sony Ericsson handsets, we wanted to give people a reason to come, and a reason to stay. We created 8 'celebrity journies' using music artsists from around the globe. These were shown on google maps, and could be shared with friends.

And no good journey would be anything without a great soundtrack. We got each of our artists to pick a killer soundtrack to accompany their story. Usres could then get the celebrity playlist free on Spotify, as well as go out and about using their new handset to relive some of the journies, playing into the products strengths.

The campaign was also supported by a series of banners, including a rich, interactive banner that allowed the user to virtually walk around the city streets using their mouse. This was art directed and created in-house by myself, working closely with Flash developers. See a storyboard of this above.
